Maile Sivert
Maile discovered yoga in 1996 and immediately she could feel there was something special, something indefinable to it. Richard Freeman, whom she met while living in Colorado in 1998, is her primary teacher. She continues to study with him annually, has completed four of his advanced trainings, and assists him at Yoga Journal Conferences.
Maile teaches moderate-paced, mindful vinyasa. She is inspired by the connection between breath and movement and teaches precision in alignment. Her classes are an active, yet nurturing synthesis of flowing postures, breath awareness and yogic philosophy.
In 2014, she proudly became the owner of The Mindful Body Yoga & Massage Studio in San Francisco.
In addition to practicing yoga, Maile loves adventure travel, hiking, dogs, surfing (warm water preferred!), eating vegetables from her garden, swimming and mangoes. You can learn more about her teaching on her website and on Facebook.
