Brenna Matthews
Yoga has always made sense to Brenna Matthews. Even before she knew what the term was or completed a class, she had the understanding that everything is connected. When she started practicing and living mindfully and holistically, it felt like coming home.
While living in Greece in her early 20’s, Brenna started practicing yoga on a towel in her tiny one room apartment, guided by a DVD. The details of the DVD have faded but the experience traveling and immersing in new cultures have shaped how Brenna lives and teaches today. She continues to travel consistently while leading retreats and exploring the world with her partner.
In her younger years, Brenna played division 1 college soccer and ran half and full marathons. Because of this, she has come to appreciate the softness yoga can offer. Brenna is an eager student of the practice and has studied a multitude of yoga practices including Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative and Kundalini. She is also a licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki practitioner allowing her to connect deeply to the energetic side of the practice and touch. Brenna has studied adjustments and anatomy extensively with Zach Dacuk and Ame Wren. Lastly, Brenna has also completed an 850+hr massage therapy program and begun offering massage and body work.
Mixing together her love for both yoga and bodywork, Brenna’s teachings are fluid, inclusive, soft and informative. To learn more about Brenna, you can visit her website here.
